Spend the holidays with mom and acclaimed food blogger, Catherine McCord of Weelicious.com.
It's always difficult to eat well or to eat food that everyone loves, but Catherine sure can change that for you M.O.Ms and shares some of her family traditions and favorites.
"Every
Christmas Eve we get together with all of our family and open gifts. We take
turn letting everyone play Santa by putting on a floppy red hat and passing the
gifts out. Then we head into the dining room for an enormous feast with all the
fixins: a great big ham, turkey with cranberry
sauce, shrimp cocktail, sweet
potato biscuits and more! Right before bed we pull off the second to
last ring on the kids 25 day paper chain, read Twas the Night Before Christmas
and head off to bed.
The
next morning the kids bound of of bed and downstairs to see what Santa has
brought. We make tall mugs of hot
chocolate, play in our pj's and then have big plates of pumpkin
waffles, Christmas
morning breakfast strata and winter fruit salad. It really is the
greatest two days of the year!"
Catherine’s new cookbook, Weelicious: One Family. OneMeal. launched this fall, and offers realistic solutions to the daily challenge of feeding your kids and seeks to inspire kids to be great eaters. Her book can be a great stocking stuffer and gift this holiday season as well.
