b : matter that is newsworthy
I'm sure all or most of these define something that has happened with your business!
So, how do you go about 'shouting' your good news? Well, freely of course! There are great ways to promote yourself and your news. First off, use social media to your advantage. Twitter away and post on facebook, don't be afraid to announce it numerous times or as a 'hey, did you hear?' 'tweet' or post either.
For announcing and posting press releases, I personally like to use PRLog. It's free and you can tag categories, industries, etc. to link your release too. I get hundreds of views, not sure by whom, but could be 100 new people now aware of who Kt Steppers is.
PRLog posts your press release immediately and you have the option to 'share it' through your various social media sites right there too with one click. It also shows your previous releases and stories right under with links.
Another site that is free and let's you publish written work is Scribd. Now this is totally different than publishing a press release.

I used Scribd to publish my Media & Press Kit. I found it a great way to promote my Press & company with a simple link. It is also much easier to send the link in an email when pitching with a Media Kit 'required', it isn't a huge document to email, just a link ( Kt Steppers Media Kit on Scribd ).
So, now that you have a few directions for online 'WHERE' to announce your news, how do you write it? Well, if this is not your forte', remember there is help out there for everything.
A great resource for us small companies is turning to someone who is familiar with 'the pen' and guiding us with the basics for reasonable fee's.
